Bowling Scholarships will be awarded to individual student athletes who through the tryout process are chosen to the traveling team. The number of scholarships may number five or six, and is left to the discretion of the bowling coach and/or scholarship committee. Scholarships will be awarded to both men's and women's teams. Amount of scholarships are yet to be determined, but it is estimated that the amount will not exceed $250.00 per semester.
Bowling Scholarship numbers and amounts may be increased or decreased as deemed necessary and is based on the amount of funding available. This scholarship program differs from previous years and we are actively trying to increase the number and the amount of scholarships awarded.
All bowlers actively trying out for the travel team will fill out a combination "bowlers bio-scholarship application" at the beginning of the fall semester. There will be no other scholarship application form required.
Scholarship moneys are acquired through team fund raising activities, donations received from corporate sponsors and individual contributions.
Recipients who drop their course load below the minimum requirements for collegiate eligibility, will be obligated to repay the Scholarship Fund the full amount of their scholarship. At the discretion of the team coach, bowlers who are severely disciplined may also be required to repay scholarship.
